For tenants, we will assess the requirements of the lease, check the costs and negotiate a settlement with the landlord’s surveyor as necessary.

The laws relating to dilapidation are complicated and there are various methods of establishing the financial liability which the tenant may owe. Considerable savings have been made for tenants due to the skill and perseverance of our surveyors.

We can agree on a cash settlement, check the cost of the work which the landlord undertakes, or arrange for the work to be undertaken on the tenant’s behalf if sufficient time remains before termination of the lease.

Alternatively, the agreed cost can be rentalised if the tenant proposes to renew the lease
